When Bach Meets Blues: An Extraordinary Concert Experience

Bach and Blues brings together two musical worlds in one concert. Lilo Kraus and her band combine classical Bach motifs with elements of blues, creating a program that links tradition and modern sound language.

The concert takes place on October 16, 2026 at the Markgrafentheater Erlangen. The focus is on the special connection between the music of Johann Sebastian Bach and the expressive character of blues. Classical motifs meet a style known for groove-oriented rhythms, distinctive sound colors, and emotional intensity.

Musical Encounter at the Markgrafentheater

The format is aimed at everyone who wishes to experience classical music from a new perspective, as well as visitors with an interest in blues. The charm of the evening lies in the juxtaposition and connection of both musical approaches. Bach represents artistic structures and timeless compositions, while blues brings its own forms of expression and a special musical atmosphere.

Lilo Kraus and her band create a concert program that merges different listening habits. The event thus offers the opportunity to hear familiar classical motifs in a new context while also getting to know the characteristic elements of blues.
