Experience Brahms' Requiem up close!

On July 7, 2026, the Erlangen University Music invites you to a very special evening. The focus is on an indispensable masterpiece of classical music: Johannes Brahms' 'A German Requiem'. The concert takes place in the Heinrich-Lades-Halle, a central venue in Erlangen.

This piece, often regarded as Brahms' greatest choral-symphonic achievement, is characterized by its emotional depth and exquisite melody. Under the direction of experienced conductors, an ensemble of top-class musicians and singers will bring to life the unique atmosphere of the first performance in 1868 in Bremen.
