Seven Decades of Choral Music: CANTEMOS Celebrates 75 Years with a Special Concert Evening
The CANTEMOS Choir Hemhofen-Zeckern invites you to the anniversary concert on Saturday, October 17, 2026, at the Hemhofen Multi-Purpose Hall. Under the title Songs from 7 Decades, the choir connects musical memories, communal singing, and the unique live atmosphere of a large club anniversary.
A Musical Journey Through Seven Decades
The program leads through seven decades of music history, honoring the long development of the choir. The focus is on harmony singing, precise synchronization, and the tonal diversity of an engaged ensemble. From familiar melodies to impressive choral arrangements, a varied concert evening emerges for music lovers and the entire Hemhofen community.
75 Years of Communal Singing
The history of the ensemble dates back to 1951 when the GV Waldeslust Zeckern was founded. Today, the CANTEMOS Choir, with nearly 30 active singers, is firmly rooted in the community life of Hemhofen. Appearances at various events in the town and in the Erlangen-Höchstadt district showcase the continuous connection to the region.
Choral Sound with a Personal Touch
The stage performance thrives on focused choir work, shared breath control, and a direct connection to the audience. In the acoustics of the multi-purpose hall, clear voices, warm tones, and the energy of a special evening come together. The audience's mood arises not only from the repertoire but also from the history behind each joint performance.
Free Admission and Open to All
Admission to the anniversary concert is free. Donations are welcome and support the musical work of the CANTEMOS Choir Hemhofen-Zeckern. The doors open at 5:30 PM, and the concert starts at 6:00 PM.
