Sound Baths in the Church: Voices that Bring Light to the Space
On Sunday, October 11, 2026, the women's choir Sound and Smoke invites you to a special concert experience in the Church of St. Peter and Paul in Erlangen. Under the title Sound Space Church - Sound Bath, voices, harmonies, and sound colors unfold in the unique acoustics of the church space.
When Voices Become Sound
Pausing, listening, being touched: The concert relies on the immediate power of choral singing. The singers create loud and soft passages, intertwine harmonies and generate an atmosphere where every note resonates. The architecture of the church itself becomes part of the musical production.
Between Intimacy and Full Acoustic Range
The varied dynamics range from quiet, almost floating moments to powerful soundscapes. Precise synchronization, differentiated articulation, and the natural resonance of the space shape a vocal concert program with great emotional impact.
A Concert Experience to Switch Off
Sound Bath is an invitation to leave everyday life behind for a moment. The audience experiences choral music not just as a concert, but as an acoustic space for tranquility, attention, and new impressions. The audience's mood arises from the direct interplay of voices, space, and silence.
