AI & Art: Where algorithms become images

The Kulturscheune Baiersdorf invites you to an interactive exhibition from November 14 to 21, 2026, that makes artificial intelligence experienceable as a creative tool. Visitors not only view digital image worlds but also develop their own ideas at five computer stations and transform text inputs, known as prompts, into AI-generated images.

Experimental space for new image worlds

The exhibition opens an immediate access to contemporary media art. Landscapes, fantasy creatures, abstract compositions, or completely personal image ideas arise from language and imagination. No prior knowledge is necessary. A contact person accompanies the process during opening hours, explains the operation, and supports the first steps.

Aesthetic experience between human and machine

The central question is how painting, digital image production, and algorithmic design relate to each other. The examination of the works goes beyond the visible surface: What role do data, training materials, and copyright play? Who owns an AI-generated work? And can a machine be creative at all? The exhibition connects cultural education with an open aesthetic experience and invites independent judgment.

Opening with Jana Komaritsa

The start is marked on Saturday, November 14, with the performance Code of Soul by the visual artist and musician Jana Komaritsa. Live painting and music meet the algorithmic logic of artificial intelligence. Human emotion, intuition, and imperfection are at the center, along with the question of whether a machine can understand human feelings. The project was developed in collaboration with AI researcher Hadi Rad from TU Delft.

Closing event: Music between human and machine

On Saturday, November 21, Max Koch alias G³RäUsCh(h@0+ will focus on AI-generated music. Together with the audience, ideas for style, lyrics, and musical direction will be developed before a KI-assisted song is created live on the computer. The subsequent discussion will inquire about AI as a creative tool and the possible dangers to human creativity.

Exhibition times and art experience

The exhibition is open on November 14 from 3 to 7 PM, on November 15 from 1 to 6 PM, daily from November 16 to 20 from 3 to 6 PM, and on November 21 from 3 to 7 PM. The evening events of the opening and closing begin at 8 PM. Due to limited seating, a free reservation is recommended for both dates.

Conclusion: Experience digital art for yourself

The exhibition offers a vivid art experience at the intersection of technology, creativity, and society. Those who want to not only discuss the possibilities of generative image systems theoretically but also try them out themselves will experience an open exhibition atmosphere full of questions, images, and surprising perspectives in the Kulturscheune Baiersdorf. A visit enriches cultural education and makes the transformation of artistic production directly experienceable.
