EXEMPLARY BUILDINGS: Architecture Between Existing Structures, Sustainability, and the Future

The exhibition EXEMPLARY BUILDINGS organized by the Bavarian Chamber of Architects makes forward-thinking architecture in the Uttenreuth administrative community visible. At the vernissage on October 12, 2026, presentations, photographic insights, plans, and project information will come together for an inspiring art experience about the built environment.

Architecture as an Aesthetic Experience

Photographs, graphics, and plans open a precise examination of the works: spatial effects, building envelopes, material choices, and uses engage in a dialogue. The exhibition presents architecture not as a static backdrop, but as a cultural practice that connects quality of life, energy efficiency, and social responsibility.

Presentations on New Townhouses and Historic Construction Tasks

The program begins at 18:00 with a welcome. At 18:15, Bosch Schmidt freelance architects BDA and urban planners PartmbB from Erlangen will speak about new townhouses in the historic core. At 18:35, the presentation on Reidlingshöfer Häusla follows. The examples range from urban planning integration to the specific architectural solutions.

Sustainability, Materials, and Cultural Education

The exhibition presents exemplary buildings from various regions of Bavaria. The focus is on usages, energy efficiency, building envelopes, and material choices. This creates a professionally grounded approach to contemporary architecture, preservation of monuments, renovation, and sustainable building. For architecture enthusiasts, planners, clients, and municipalities, the presentation offers valuable impulses.

Exhibition Atmosphere and Work Examination

The combination of image, plan, and explanation creates a concentrated exhibition atmosphere. Forms, surfaces, and constructive decisions become comprehensible. The aesthetic experience expands into cultural education: visitors recognize how architecture preserves historical identity while simultaneously creating new spaces for living.

Conclusion: Experience Future-Oriented Architecture Live

The vernissage opens an exhibition that brings together design, sustainability, and social responsibility. Those who want to understand how good architecture responds to historic town centers, ecological challenges, and contemporary usages will find concrete examples and inspiring perspectives in Uttenreuth.
