Festival Free Curb Edge 2026: Art, Poetry, and Creative Encounters at ZAM
On Saturday, October 10, 2026, the Festival Free Curb Edge transforms the ZAM – Center for Exchange and Creation in Erlangen into an imaginative meeting point for art, literature, music, and collaborative creation. From 1:00 PM to 11:00 PM, the festival connects interactive cultural formats with poetic moments and a lively musical conclusion.
A Festival Between Word Flowers and Starry Sky
Inspired by the freshly translated poetry collection Flowers also grow on Mars by Valentina Marzulli, an open festival atmosphere full of imagination will be created at ZAM. ZAM:creative and WordWorks Erlangen invite you to discover heavenly poems, implement your own ideas, and participate in creating culture rather than just observing it.
Readings, Exhibition, and Creative Workshops
The author readings at 3:00 PM and 5:00 PM lead into poetic worlds between Earth, Mars, and inner landscapes. Concurrently, from 1:00 PM, an interactive community exhibition featuring word-flower collages opens. Visitors experience art as a collective creation and leave their own marks on the festival events.
From 1:00 PM to 6:00 PM, several participatory offerings are on the agenda. In creating galactic flowers, imaginative works come to life, while a stop-motion activity invites participants to bring planetary creatures to life. A new puppet theater will also bloom. The formats cater to different age groups, making the festival an intergenerational cultural event.
DJ Sound and Drinks Under the ZAMatrium
As the creative festival day gradually slips into the evening, a musical conclusion begins at 7:00 PM with a DJ and drinks under the starry sky of the ZAMatrium. The open-air-inspired atmosphere, warm lights, and the community spirit of ZAM make the evening a special multi-day experience in the spirit of festival culture – even though Free Curb Edge is held as a one-day festival this time.
A Place for Exchange, Participation, and Local Culture
Free Curb Edge stands for a vibrant regional art and culture scene. The festival organization combines readings, exhibitions, workshops, puppet theater, and music into a versatile artist lineup without rigid boundaries between the stage and the audience. At the center are encounters, creativity, and the joy of creating new cultural spaces together.
Conclusion: A Day Full of Imagination Awaits
The Festival Free Curb Edge 2026 promises an inspiring day filled with poetic readings, interactive art, creative workshops, puppet theater, and DJ music. Those who enjoy experiencing culture directly, contributing their own ideas, and want to round off the evening in a special atmosphere should experience the festival live at ZAM.
