Church Night in Erlangen: A special night full of games, stories, and community
When the church quiets down in the evening, a unique family experience begins for children: At the Church Night, children aged 7 to 12 explore the St. Peter and Paul church in Erlangen in a new, playful way. The children's overnight stay combines movement, imagination, shared experiences, and child-friendly religious impulses.
The church becomes an adventure place
A familiar church transforms into an exciting experience world. The children get to know special rooms and perspectives, solve small tasks together, and experience the curiosity and wonder that a unique place can hold. The program addresses child development in an age-appropriate manner and creates space for independent discovery.
Games, stories, and children's laughter
The program includes fun group games, an exciting story, and shared activities. Those who wish can become part of the adventure and actively shape the narrative. This fosters fun in learning, creativity, and a strong sense of community – all without performance pressure.
Quality time overnight
The Church Night offers children a special learning experience outside of their usual everyday life. Through playing, storytelling, and overnight stays, trust and consideration grow. The social experiences are particularly valuable: children practice cooperation, experience community, and gain confidence in a new environment.
Well prepared for families
The event is organized by the CVJM Erlangen as part of the Children's Cathedral. The offer is explicitly aimed at children aged 7 to 12 years. It starts on Saturday, October 17, 2026, at 4:15 PM; the overnight stay ends on Sunday, October 18, 2026, at 12:00 PM. The venue is the St. Peter and Paul church at Fürther Straße 42 in Erlangen.
Conclusion: A night to remember
The Church Night gives children an exceptional mix of adventure, children's laughter, stories, and shared time. Families can expect a lovingly designed children's program with age-appropriate games, imaginative moments, and valuable experiences in community.
