French Reading Joy for the Whole Family at Libravous
On Saturday, October 24, 2026, the German-French Institute Erlangen invites families to Libravous in the dFi media library. From 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM, children and adults will experience an open, warm encounter centered around books, language, and new media.
Storytime for Little Book Fans
The focus will be on the storytime for children from 11:30 AM to 12:30 PM. Stories create shared time, foster imagination, and support language development in a child-friendly way. While listening, curiosity, wonder, and perhaps a desire for their next favorite book arise.
Discover New Media
The media library opens its doors and presents new acquisitions. Families will gain insights into the French-language media offerings and discover picture books, narratives, games, and other media together. The Ludothek of the dFi already offers suitable materials for children from six months for their first learning experiences with language, images, and stories.
Breakfast, Exchange, and French Culture
Coffee, tea, and pastries accompany the morning. This creates a relaxed atmosphere for conversations, encounters, and a small family experience in the heart of Erlangen. Libravous combines learning fun, children's laughter, and cultural discovery without performance pressure.
Age-Appropriate and Family-Friendly
The event is aimed at families with children. The storytime is designed as a child-friendly offering that combines language promotion with the joy of reading together. The venue is equipped with an elevator, a ramp, a barrier-free toilet, wheelchair spaces, and a tactile guidance system.
