A loving start to the weekend

Reading together fosters closeness, attention, and shared time. The children listen to the sound of English words, follow the pictures, and immerse themselves in imaginative stories appropriate for their age. Families with an English or multilingual daily life also find a suitable meeting point here.

Joy of language through picture books

English stories support language awareness and make new words naturally experienceable. Through recurring terms, rhythmic sentences, and vivid images, a child-friendly learning experience is created that stimulates concentration, imagination, and enjoyment of listening.

A family experience in the children's library

The Erlangen City Library offers regular reading hours for children in several languages. The children's and youth library is a consumer-free place with reading corners, learning opportunities, and a large selection of media, including English-language children's books. Thus, the visit can be wonderfully combined with further reading and exploration.

Age-appropriate and relaxed

The offer is aimed at young children aged 2 to 6 years. Parents and companions experience a relaxed library morning together with their children that connects early literacy, language development, and family closeness.
