Create Your Own Books: Creative Workshop for Children in Erlangen
On November 4, 2026, the Culture Point Bruck will transform into a colorful workshop for young book lovers. At the creative event Book Binding, loose sheets will be turned into individual notebooks – a literary experience to touch, create, and take home.
From Paper to a Personal Book
A book does not begin only with written words. In this workshop, children will experience how individual sheets become a personal book object through design, organization, and craftsmanship. Colors, shapes, and different techniques open up space for imagination and personal ideas.
Creativity, Language Art, and Craftsmanship
The book binding connects cultural education with practical creation. Children aged six to twelve develop a sense for materials, composition, and the external form of stories. The workshop promotes concentration, fine motor skills, and confident handling of personal ideas.
An Inspiring Holiday Workshop
The three-hour course will be led by Monika Albert, a diploma social educator. The atmosphere at Culture Point Bruck provides space for focused work, playful experimentation, and exchange about self-created books. Clothes and shoes that can get dirty, as well as a drink, are part of the necessary equipment.
Conclusion: A Personal Book as a Lasting Memory
The Book Binding event offers children a creative access to the world of books. Those who want to hold paper, colors, and ideas in their hands can experience a varied holiday workshop with visible results in Erlangen. Registration is done through the Youth Art School Erlangen.
