Comics in the Classroom: Creative Learning in Erlangen

Expanding Reality – Comics Take Over the Classrooms is an exciting cultural project that takes place as part of the 22nd International Comics Festival in Erlangen. From June 4 to June 7, 2026, the kubic will be the focal point of this innovative initiative, conducted in cooperation with schools in Erlangen. The goal is to integrate the creative power of comics into everyday education and thereby enrich learning in an exciting way.

During the project days, comic artists work directly with students to develop creative teaching projects together. Themes such as visual storytelling, narrative development, and artistic forms of expression are at the center of this collaboration. This partnership not only enhances the artistic skills of the students but also fosters their critical thinking and understanding of modern media.

The project offers a fantastic opportunity for students to explore the world of comics while building interdisciplinary skills. Teachers also receive new impulses for their educational everyday life through the integration of comics into teaching topics.
