Biotag Erlangen 2026: Regional Biodiversity on Wasserturmstraße
On Saturday, October 17, 2026, the Erlangen Biotag invites you to a delightful shopping experience in the city center as part of the Erlangen Autumn Festival. From 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Biostadt Erlangen and the district of Erlangen-Höchstadt will present local producers, direct marketers, and initiatives along the organic enjoyment mile in Wasserturmstraße.
Discover Organic Products from the Region
The market atmosphere thrives on short distances between producers and visitors. The stalls will feature ecological and fair specialties from Franconia: baked goods from the organic bakery Postler, crêpes and Arche bread from the organic Archehof Fischer, vegan cakes, soup, and quiche from the Lesecafé Anständig essen, as well as Franconian wine, Federweißer, and grape juice from the Winzerhof Hofmann from Ergersheim.
Also included in the offerings are vegetables, fruits, spreads, organic plants, non-alcoholic beverages, and the Biostadt brew from the Weller brewery. Certifications such as Bioland, Biokreis, Demeter, Naturland, EU Organic, and the Bavarian Organic Seal highlight the regional product quality.
Enjoyment, Craftsmanship, and Participation Activities
The Biotag combines a weekly market atmosphere with information and participation. Children can unleash their creativity by carving pumpkins or trying out their own ideas at the muesli mix station. An exhibition of fruit varieties, rescued food from Foodsharing Erlangen-Forchheim, a vegetable exhibition by Zukunftsacker, and information booths on sustainable nutrition highlight the regional diversity.
The shopping experience is complemented by offerings related to climate protection, fair production, and local value creation. The climate mobile provides information on energy issues, while the campaign Klima-Aufbruch invites participants to engage with a climate quiz, photo station, and other exchange activities.
Ceremonial Opening with Music
The opening will begin at 11:00 AM at the Biostadt stand. Mayor Eva Linhart, environmental and climate protection officer Sabine Bock, and the Bavarian Organic Queen Lena Reichtalhammer will address the visitors. The Big Band of Christian-Ernst-Gymnasium Erlangen will provide the musical kickoff.
Admission and Venue
Admission to the Biotag is free. The event takes place outdoors on Wasserturmstraße in Erlangen and is suitable for families, market-goers, sustainability enthusiasts, and anyone wanting to discover regional organic products directly from the area.
The conclusion: The Biotag Erlangen brings together regional agriculture, ecological trade, enjoyment, and climate education on a lively organic enjoyment mile. Discover the people behind Biostadt Erlangen, taste Franconian specialties, and experience the Erlangen Autumn Festival with all your senses.
