Give-and-Take Cabinet in Erlangen: Share sustainably and discover new things
In the community center Die Scheune in Erlangen-Büchenbach, sharing becomes an uncomplicated shopping experience: The Give-and-Take Cabinet allows well-preserved items to change owners. On Thursday, October 8, 2026, you are invited to bring, exchange, or take books, leisure and decorative items, household goods, and toys.
Living Sustainability in the Neighborhood
The Give-and-Take Cabinet represents conscious consumption and practical resource conservation. Old, clean, and still usable items receive a second chance instead of lying unused at home or being disposed of. This creates a neighborly form of passing on that connects local ties and sustainable actions.
From Books to Toys
The selection thrives on the diversity of the items brought in. Books, leisure materials, decorative pieces, household goods, and toys are waiting for new owners. Market visitors continuously discover something unexpected and bring along items that can bring joy to others in return.
Practical Information for Visitors
The Give-and-Take Cabinet is open on Thursday from 10:00 AM to 3:30 PM. Participation is free. Only clean, undamaged, and still usable items may be brought. The community center Die Scheune is accessible without barriers. Bus lines 280, 286, 289, 293, 296, and N28 serve the area; the Odenwaldallee stop is nearby.
Conclusion
The Give-and-Take Cabinet connects sustainability, neighborhood, and regional diversity in an uncomplicated way. Anyone looking to pass on well-preserved items or discover new treasures will experience a down-to-earth and meaningful participatory offer at Die Scheune. Come by, browse, and experience sustainable sharing firsthand.
