Café Villa in Erlangen: Encounter, Exchange and Common Arrival
On Thursday, November 5, 2026, Café Villa in the community center Die Villa opens its doors for refugees, newcomers, and residents of Erlangen. From 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM, an open meeting place is created, focusing on personal conversations, mutual getting to know each other, and lived neighborhood.
Coffee, tea, and pastries create a space for encounters
A cup of coffee or tea, pastries, and occasionally homemade goodies provide a warm setting for the afternoon. The relaxed event atmosphere invites attendees to engage in conversation, share experiences, and establish new connections in Erlangen.
Learning German together and finding support
Café Villa combines social gatherings with practical support. Visitors can learn German playfully, receive help with homework, and exchange ideas on everyday questions. This offer is aimed at people from various backgrounds, creating an accessible target audience.
A meeting place for families and the neighborhood
Even small guests are welcome: while playing and painting, uncomplicated contacts are made, while adults can engage in quiet conversations. In suitable weather, the terrace or the park offers additional opportunities for a pleasant break. The event experience remains open, personal, and characterized by volunteer engagement.
Supported by a strong Erlangen network
The organization is handled by volunteers. Café Villa is supported by the Protestant Deanery Erlangen, the Volunteer Refugee Initiative Erlangen, the Foreign and Integration Advisory Board of the City of Erlangen, and the community center Die Villa. The meeting café has existed as Café Villa since 2020, continuing from the former Café Asyl.
Conclusion: An afternoon that brings people together
Café Villa offers a warm atmosphere, genuine encounters, and practical support in a relaxed setting. Those who wish to meet new people, practice German, or simply experience community over coffee and pastries will find an open meeting point at the community center Die Villa on November 5, 2026. Admission is free.
