Life Drawing at ZAM Erlangen: From the First Stroke to Lively Drawings
On Thursday, November 5, 2026, ZAM – Center for Exchange and Making in Erlangen invites you to the weekly life drawing session. From 8:00 PM to 10:00 PM, a concentrated evening of creativity will unfold, where quick sketches, longer poses, and freely chosen positions make the human body directly experienceable.
Observe, Capture, Create
Life drawing begins with a keen eye. Movements, proportions, and body postures are captured in a few lines before expressive drawings emerge from them. Short poses sharpen perception and bring dynamism to the paper. Longer poses allow for composition, anatomy, and a personal visual language.
Open Meeting for Different Experience Levels
The weekly format caters to beginners as well as experienced drawers. Participants work freely based on the human figure and set their own focuses – from loose movement sketches to detailed drawings. Attendees should bring their own drawing materials.
Creative Event Atmosphere at ZAM
ZAM combines open workshops, collaborative learning, and artistic exchange. In this environment, focused working phases, inspiring encounters, and a calm audience atmosphere come together. The center in the downtown area of Erlangen provides a suitable setting for an event experience where observation and practical drawing are at the forefront.
Organization and Event Planning
As a non-profit creative and makerspace, ZAM stands for collaborative making, knowledge exchange, and open access to art, technology, and crafts. Life drawing enhances this offering with a regular artistic practice. The organization as a weekly meeting facilitates entry and creates space for continuous development.
Conclusion: More Expression with a Few Lines
The life drawing at ZAM offers an inspiring drawing evening for all who want to attentively study the human body and further develop their drawing skills. For a 5 Euro fee, visitors experience focused work, new impulses, and communal drawing in a special event atmosphere. Those who want to sharpen their gaze and get hands-on should experience this creative meeting live.
