Celebrating, Sharing Stories, and Eating Together at the Evening Meal
A special moment of faith awaits families and all interested people at St. Peter and Paul Church in Erlangen. At the evening meal, the biblical story of the great banquet comes to life: young and old listen, experience, and create community within an inviting participatory service.
A Biblical Story to Participate In
At the center is the story of the great banquet. The narration combines biblical tradition, child-friendly spirituality, and shared experiences. This creates a faith experience that invites listening, reflecting, and celebrating together.
Service for Hearing and Sign Language Users
The service is aimed at young and old people who use spoken and sign language. Present are Benjamin Müller, deacon of the sign language community in Bavaria, and Jessica Tontsch, pastor for family work in the Erlangen deanery. A sign language interpreter will be provided; braille and large print can be provided upon request.
Community at the Set Table
After the service, all visitors are invited to a warm dinner. The shared meal provides space for encounters, conversations, and lived Christian community. The spiritual atmosphere of the church merges with the heartfelt closeness of a family evening.
Part of the Children's Cathedral Erlangen
The evening meal takes place as part of the Children's Cathedral Erlangen. Families experience the church here as an open place for questions, stories, prayer, liturgy, and collective action. Registration facilitates planning for the organizer.
The evening meal invites everyone to experience Christian community with all senses. Those who want to experience faith in a family-friendly, inclusive, and lively form will find a special evening of togetherness at St. Peter and Paul.
