Together in Motion: MAWIBA® for Mamas and Babies in Erlangen
On Tuesday, October 13, 2026, the community center Die Scheune in Erlangen combines gentle movement, music, and close connection. In MAWIBA® dancing, mamas experience a mindful reentry into activity after childbirth together with their babies.
Gentle Choreographies for Pelvic Floor and Posture
The focus is on simple, pelvic floor strengthening choreographies. The movements promote conscious posture, coordination, and fitness, while the babies stay safely close to their mamas in the carrier. A calm course atmosphere creates space for movement, body awareness, and shared joy.
Music, Rhythm, and Closeness
When the music starts and the first steps succeed in rhythm, a special dynamic emerges. Even movements, soft child sounds, and the closeness between mother and baby characterize this active break. Even without dance experience, a good body feeling is at the center.
Safe Reentry Post-Birth
Participation requires a positive postnatal check with the gynecologist, usually starting from the eighth week after birth. The dance class is led by Kristina Lorper, a certified MAWIBA® instructor. A late entry is possible.
What Participants Should Bring
Sports shoes, a personal carrier, and a yoga mat or thick blanket are needed. The baby can be comfortably laid down on it if necessary. The event takes place in the hall of the community center Die Scheune in the Erlangen district of Büchenbach.
