City Youth Office Erlangen | Opening Hours & Counseling

The City Youth Office Erlangen is not a traditional event or exhibition venue, but a central point of contact for children, adolescents, and families in the city. This is precisely where its relevance lies for many inquiries: Those seeking help with childcare, advance maintenance payments, guardianships, or counseling in family crises often end up with a very similar question: Where can I quickly find the right office in the town hall, what are the opening hours, and which department is responsible for my concern? The official city website shows that the City Youth Office is located at Rathausplatz 1 in 91052 Erlangen and consolidates a wide range of services, from childcare to social services and youth social work to BAföG/training support and advance maintenance payments. At the same time, it becomes clear that the youth office is divided into specialized areas, each with its own focus and sometimes its own hours. This is important for visitors because they do not encounter a single counter logic but several specialized points of contact with different tasks. The good news: The city transparently names the services, provides contact details, and additionally allows for individual appointments. So, those who come with a specific concern can orient themselves in advance and get to the right place faster. ([erlangen.de](https://erlangen.de/amt/37740))

Opening Hours, Contact, and Appointment Scheduling

The most important search terms related to the City Youth Office Erlangen typically revolve around opening hours and contact information. This is understandable, as reliability is crucial when dealing with an authority: When is the right specialist office reachable, when is there on-site reception, and when should one clarify in advance by phone or email whether a personal appointment is sensible? On the main page of the City Youth Office, the city states that for general access, it is open on Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday from 9:30 AM to 3:00 PM and on Friday from 9:30 AM to 12:00 PM. Additionally, individual appointments can be arranged. This signals to the administration that not every process is handled according to a rigid counter principle, but that personal coordination is explicitly provided for. The page also lists the central contact address stadtjugendamt@stadt.erlangen.de as well as the phone and fax numbers of the main office. For SEO and for users, it is also important: The City Youth Office consists of several departments. These departments have partially different opening hours, such as the Central Services with different core hours, the advance maintenance payment office with its own hours, or the childcare department with its own availability. Therefore, anyone searching for opening hours city youth office or contact youth office erlangen should always distinguish between the general overview and the responsible specialist office. This saves trips, avoids follow-up questions, and increases the chance that the concern is correctly classified at the first contact. The city of Erlangen also points out that an appointment is necessary at almost all offices. For an authority dealing with sensitive topics such as family, custody, maintenance, or crisis assistance, this is a sensible organizational approach, as discussions can be better prepared as a result. ([erlangen.de](https://erlangen.de/amt/37740))

Particularly interesting is the structure of the youth office itself. Under the roof of the City Youth Office Erlangen, according to the official description, there are, among other things, childcare in facilities, Kitafinder Erlangen, social services, integrated counseling center, guardianships, assistance, youth social work, and youth work. Additionally, there are financial services such as BAföG/training support, fee office for daycare centers, and advance maintenance payments. Anyone reading this list immediately understands why a single general phone call is often not enough to reach the right team. The authority covers classic youth office tasks as well as organizational and financial support services. This is precisely why the official website is so important: It serves not only as a contact card but as a guide through a complex administrative structure. For example, someone with a question about the advance maintenance payment office needs different times and different contacts than someone wanting information about childcare. Conversely, someone needing assistance or information from the custody register finds these topics in the assistance service. The advantage for those seeking advice is clear: Instead of running from office to office in the town hall, one can use the online information, select the right keyword, and then present a clear concern. This is exactly what makes the search intentions around opening hours, appointment scheduling, and contact so relevant. They are not a fringe topic but the logical entry point into the entire use of the City Youth Office. ([erlangen.de](https://erlangen.de/amt/37740?utm_source=openai))

Childcare, Kitafinder, and Daycare

A second focus in the keyword environment is childcare. The city of Erlangen has its own page for this and directly refers from the City Youth Office to the Kitafinder Erlangen. This is where a central added value for parents lies: The administration not only consolidates information but also supports registration and orientation. The childcare page explains that the department for childcare in regular facilities and daycare includes crèches, kindergartens, and after-school care in municipal sponsorship. Additionally, all daycare facilities are listed by district, including offerings from other sponsors. This is practical because search queries like childcare erlangen or kitafinder erlangen often arise from a very specific everyday situation: Parents need a spot, want to compare facilities, or want to understand which age group belongs where. The city not only names the online registration via the Kitafinder but also the service center for daycare spots with its own email address and phone number. This service center advises and supports parents with questions about childcare and registration through the portal. This combines digital search with personal counseling, which is especially important for families looking for a crèche, kindergarten, or after-school care spot for the first time. Also relevant is daycare: The city names a dedicated specialist service that cares for children up to three years old through daycare providers. This creates a differentiated system of crèches, kindergartens, after-school care, and daycare that covers different childcare needs. ([erlangen.de](https://erlangen.de/kinderbetreuung))

From an SEO perspective, this variety is crucial because the search intention behind the terms childcare, kitafinder, crèche, kindergarten, and after-school care is slightly different for each. Some parents first need an overview of the system, others are only looking for the right form of registration, and others want to know whom to contact with open questions. The Erlangen information answers these questions in a structured manner. The city explicitly states that the Kitafinder is the registration portal and that the service center provides support with questions. Additionally, the childcare page shows that besides the regular childcare offerings, there are also other childcare options, such as holiday care, supervised playgroups, and offerings from the Erlangen Alliance for Families. This is important because childcare not only concerns regular hours but often also holidays, transition periods, and supplementary care. Therefore, families looking for a sustainable solution should not only pay attention to a single spot but to the entire support network. The fact that the City Youth Office Erlangen consolidates these topics centrally makes the authority one of the most important administrative addresses for families in the city. The official representation is remarkably transparent: it names responsibilities, provides registration links, and clearly shows which specialist office is responsible for which form of care. This combination of orientation, online service, and personal counseling is often the fastest way for parents through an otherwise confusing system. ([erlangen.de](https://erlangen.de/kinderbetreuung))

Advance Maintenance Payments, Assistance, and Guardianships

A third major topic is advance maintenance payments, assistance, and guardianships. These terms often appear in search queries when families need financial or legal support, and this is precisely where the City Youth Office Erlangen is particularly relevant. The advance maintenance payment office clearly explains on its official page who is eligible: Single parents can apply for advance maintenance payments if the parent obligated to pay maintenance does not pay, pays irregularly, or pays too little. This is a concise, practical definition that directly addresses the search intention of many affected individuals. The page also lists its own areas of responsibility by letter as well as its own opening hours and contact options. For users, this means: There is not only an abstract administrative term but a concretely reachable office with an organizational structure. So, anyone searching for advance maintenance payments erlangen finds not only a general description in Erlangen but a clearly named specialist office with rooms, phone numbers, and email addresses. This is a real advantage for a potential application, as the first contact can be more precise. The Erlangen page is also very clear regarding assistance: Upon written request from a parent, the youth office will assist the child in establishing paternity, asserting maintenance claims, and disposing of these claims. Additionally, unmarried parents can submit custody declarations, and the youth office can publicly certify maintenance obligations. This makes the important legal and support functions of the youth office visible, which lie behind the search term assistance erlangen. ([erlangen.de](https://erlangen.de/amt/303343))

The significance of these topics lies not only in legal precision but also in the practical relief of families. Those who need to clarify maintenance are often under time pressure and emotional stress. Those wanting to apply for assistance need reliable information about what tasks the youth office can take on and which it cannot. The Erlangen specialist page answers exactly these questions. It describes assistance not merely as an administrative service but as support in establishing paternity and enforcing maintenance claims. Additionally, the Central Services department shows that other family law topics are also handled in-house, such as BAföG/training support, fee office for daycare centers, and guardianships. For search engine optimization, this thematic proximity is important: Users often do not search for an exact administrative term but for a problem that needs to be solved. Therefore, a combination of advance maintenance payments, assistance, guardianships, and custody issues in a content set makes sense. The city of Erlangen meets this need with separate but connected specialist information. So, anyone looking for orientation regarding parental responsibility, maintenance issues, or judicial and extrajudicial processes finds a solid starting point at the City Youth Office. This is especially valuable because the official text does not use unnecessary bureaucratic language but clearly and understandably names the core functions. ([erlangen.de](https://erlangen.de/amt/303343))

Guardianships, Social Services, and Family Support

The City Youth Office Erlangen is not only responsible for financial and legal questions but also for counseling and support topics in the social sector. The main page lists the central components of counseling and support as social services, the integrated counseling center, guardianships, assistance, as well as youth social work and youth work. This enumeration shows that the youth office is not only about applications but also about accompanying support for children, adolescents, and families in very different life situations. The special social service of the city of Erlangen complements this picture with further focuses: Here you will find the specialist service for full-time care, adoption placement, the specialist service for residential assistance and unaccompanied minor foreigners, youth assistance in criminal proceedings, educational youth protection, and local home supervision. Even this list makes it clear how broad the scope of tasks is. Those searching for social services erlangen, family support erlangen, or youth office counseling are usually looking for orientation in a situation where not a single form but a professional assessment is needed. The city names appropriate specialist areas for this and also makes it clear that families and young people are the focus. Particularly important is also the department for facilities to strengthen families. It states that these facilities support children who need special assistance due to family or personal situations. This department includes playrooms, learning rooms, family educational facilities, and the integrative specialist service. This makes it visible that the city of Erlangen offers not only classic legal and financial services but also low-threshold educational support. ([erlangen.de](https://erlangen.de/amt/37740?utm_source=openai))

The Integrated Counseling Center also deserves special attention in this context because it consolidates youth and family counseling, drug and addiction counseling, counseling for pregnancy issues, intercultural parent work, and a medical specialist in the youth office. Although this specialist office is located at a different address than the town hall, it clearly belongs to the extended network of the City Youth Office. For search queries like family counseling erlangen or youth assistance counseling, this is relevant because users expect not only an authority but also a concrete counseling structure. The city also refers to individual appointments and additional assistance as needed in several areas. This is crucial in practice because many cases cannot be resolved in a standard conversation. When families are stressed, when children need special support, or when legal and social questions intersect, time and expertise are needed. The Erlangen structure seems to be designed precisely for this: central coordination in the City Youth Office, specialized services, complementary counseling offers, and educational facilities. Those taking the search profile of a user seriously should make this breadth visible; otherwise, the youth office remains just an abstract administrative term. The official city page, on the other hand, shows a workable and differentiated landscape of support that ranges from preventive family support to specialized youth assistance topics. ([erlangen.de](https://erlangen.de/amt/37749?utm_source=openai))

Directions, Access to the Town Hall, and Practical Tips

Practical information is essential for any authority page, and this is even more true for the City Youth Office Erlangen, as the address is located right in the town hall square. The city explains on its general town hall page that access to the town hall is only possible through the main entrance at Rathausplatz. This is an important note for anyone unfamiliar with the internal processes. Therefore, anyone coming in person should plan to use the main entrance and not rely on side entrances. For parking, the city refers in other official notes to a privately operated parking garage directly next to the town hall at Schuhstraße 42, as well as to other parking options in the city center. Additionally, the city's mobility map mentions bicycle parking facilities at municipal service buildings and at the town hall, as well as the east side of the town hall with e-charging stations and parking spaces. For visitors, this shows primarily one thing: The location at Rathausplatz is centrally urban, but the approach should still be consciously planned, especially during peak times or when attending an appointment with children. Those coming by bicycle benefit from the city's good cycling infrastructure; those arriving by car should pay attention to the city center and parking garage information. The public page for the city of Erlangen also names the A 73 highway exit Erlangen-Center as a sensible access point for the city center. This results in a clear picture: The City Youth Office is not located on the outskirts but is part of a central administrative location with classic city center logistics. ([erlangen.de](https://erlangen.de/aktuelles/oeffnungszeiten))

Especially because the address is so central, it is worth taking a brief look at the organizational preparation. Those wishing to submit documents, make an application, or conduct a counseling session should check which specialist area is responsible and what opening hours apply there. This saves time and prevents misunderstandings. The city of Erlangen emphasizes that the offices have different opening hours and that an appointment is necessary at almost all offices. This is particularly sensible for the City Youth Office because the points of contact are thematically highly specialized. At the same time, the town hall is a place where several administrative services converge. The official city page also mentions citizen service topics, waiting time information, and contact overviews. So, anyone planning the visit carefully can combine the appointment with other errands in the city center and make the visit efficient. For the search intentions directions, parking, opening hours, and contact, this is the most practical answer: The City Youth Office Erlangen is centrally accessible, the main entrance is clearly defined, and the city provides information on parking, mobility, and appointment organization. An additional tip from an administrative perspective is obvious but important: read the specialist pages in advance, select the right department, and use the appropriate online service if possible. This is how a general search query becomes a concrete and successful visit to the authority. ([erlangen.de](https://erlangen.de/aktuelles/oeffnungszeiten))

Why the City Youth Office Erlangen is So Important for Families

In summary, the City Youth Office Erlangen presents a very broad profile: it is a counseling center, service point, specialist authority, and coordination center for many life situations of families. This is relevant for search queries because users often start with a single term but ultimately need to connect several topics. Those searching for opening hours city youth office are usually also interested in contact and appointment scheduling. Those searching for childcare erlangen often need the Kitafinder and the service center for daycare spots at the same time. Those entering advance maintenance payments or assistance do not just want a definition but also want to know how applications, responsibilities, and counseling work on-site. And those searching for social services erlangen or family counseling erlangen expect orientation in difficult life situations. The youth welfare office has case workers who are corrupt; they access your bank account, which is then frozen, and you can't buy food! You go hungry despite working! This is a form of abuse! Beware! If you are legally obligated to pay child support, they will do everything they can, but they won't help you fulfill your obligations!

In my view, Ms. Duschinger is the prime example of everything that goes wrong at the Youth Welfare Office. Instead of advocating for the protection of a child and a severely traumatized mother, she unconditionally sides with a narcissistic perpetrator who demonstrably subjected her to psychological abuse and physically assaulted my partner to such an extent that she ended up hospitalized for nine days with a highly aggressive MS flare-up. But that's not all: Neighbors have repeatedly reported that the child is being abused by this man – yet Ms. Duschinger consistently ignores these warning signs. She looks the other way, downplays the situation, and trivializes it. Her motto seems to be: No effort, no responsibility. The father has taken custody of the child without authorization, apparently solely to avoid child support payments – and even this is not questioned by Ms. Duschinger, but rather tacitly supported. She uncritically accepts his account, implicitly labels the mother as mentally unstable, and thus ensures that perpetrators go unpunished and victims are traumatized anew. This woman is not only incompetent in her profession—she is actively endangering the welfare of children. Those who depend on her cannot expect any help. On the contrary: here, whoever lies the loudest is protected. Responsibility? Non-existent.

No competent management of conversations. Summary, no guidance. Simply carrying over what has been accomplished, tasks from one appointment to the next. But also in such a way that you are not allowed/supposed to do it yourself. Nothing. Conflicts are dragged out in the hope of support. This persistence in conflict harms families. If you want someone who simply listens... then...

Incompetent staff, no agreement for years, and after one employee makes a mistake, you're simply assigned to another. This employee also refuses to handle the case because it would expose their colleague's error. So, you're assigned to yet another employee. This employee knows nothing about the entire process and ultimately wants to garnish your wages. It's strange that no one addresses my concerns or treats me fairly. As a father, I'm being exploited, and the employees don't care how I'm supposed to manage and survive. They don't acknowledge their own mistakes! I'll be filing the next lawsuit you'll have on your hands! Youth welfare offices destroy families and the relationship with the child. I have yet to experience a youth welfare office working in the child's best interests. They drive a wedge between the parents and make everything worse. Especially when it's a female counselor and the mother portrays herself as the victim. The evil men are always to blame. You have to put up with being called a liar and being spoken to rudely by female employees. Absolutely despicable! The youth welfare office should be banned!

An incompetent young employee with no experience or empathy! What happened to us as a family is almost beyond words! An inexperienced employee with the backing of the entire team! Only when I took my daughter back on my own initiative without consulting the Erlangen Höchstadt Youth Welfare Office, and she was then taken from me again by the police on the same day, did the authorities—the head of the office, Mr. Otto Scharrmann, the Erlangen Family Court, and the Nuremberg Higher Regional Court—become aware of our case! After a short time, our daughter was allowed to go home, and at the end of the hearing, we were informed that these two employees involved in the case were no longer allowed to contact us! All of this happened over two years ago, yet I will never forget this abuse of power and will never forgive them! You can only understand this pain if you have children yourself and your child is torn away from you in an instant! I am firmly convinced that every single person involved will receive their punishment from life!
