Aufbruch: Where young theater explorers find their own stage

An empty room, curious looks, and the desire to try something new: The kick-off meeting of the Play Club Aufbruch begins a creative journey into the world of theater for children aged 8 to 12. On October 12, 2026, Schauspiel Erlangen invites everyone to the first joint meeting.

Play, speak, sing, dance

At the center of the theater pedagogical work are imagination, movement, and joint invention. Participants develop characters, try out scenes, and discover how an idea transforms into a lively stage moment. Acting is not taught as a rigid technique but as a playful process that encourages courage and strengthens personal expression.

A production grows from the children's ideas

The dramaturgy of the play club is created together with the group. The children determine where the journey goes, which stories are told, and which characters populate the stage. Step by step, a unique play takes shape, which is to be performed on a real stage in May 2027.

Experience theater and take a peek behind the scenes

The program includes not only regular rehearsal work. The group also visits a theater performance and gains insights into the workings of the theater. Stage design, lighting, acoustics, directing, and the processes behind the scenes become immediately tangible. This creates a stage experience that resonates beyond the individual date.

A kick-off full of imagination and movement

The kick-off meeting opens a safe space for first stage experiences as well as for children who have already caught a whiff of theater. The theater atmosphere arises from the interplay of movement, language, and shared attention. From individual impulses, a group grows, from which a unique artistic voice emerges.

Conclusion: The Play Club Aufbruch combines theater pedagogy, acting, and collective storytelling. Children discover their expressive possibilities, develop their own piece, and experience how imagination transforms into visible stage art. The available spots are already in high demand; those interested should contact Schauspiel Erlangen directly for information.
